Welcome to Abbotskerswell Preschool

For all children from the age of two.

Our preschool is inclusive and we believe all children are entitled to enjoy a full life in conditions that will help them take part in society and develop as individuals. All children have a need to develop, which is helped by exploring and discovering the people and things around them.

Aims

To provide high quality care and education for children between the ages of two and five years.

To establish and maintain strong preschool – parent relationships.

To be active and contributing members of our community.

To offer a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

Overarching principles

Every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.

Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.

Children learn and develop well in enabling environments with teaching and support from adults, who respond to their individual needs and help them build their learning over time. Children benefit from a strong partnership between practitioners and parents.

The importance of learning and development. Children develop and learn at different rates and we are flexible in our practice in response to each individual child.
